37.  Local aerodrome regulations

Aircraft activities that may be performed at the airport: as required by the competent authorities and in accordance with and in compliance with the rules of SERA (EU Regulation 923/2012, as amended several times) for aircraft and aircraft equipment.
Mixed regulations and standards applicable to the airport
Local rules for the implementation of single operations and the coexistence of different aviation activities:
- Coordination of daily operations is organised on a daily basis by the responsible manager or deputy, depending on the weather and the flight operation or operations.
- When conducting a local flight and whenever taking off or landing, aircraft position reports shall be carried on the 125,265 MHz frequency. The call sign is “Kiskunfélegyháza - Airport”.
- The engine start-up procedure for powered aircraft shall always take place in the area in front of the taxiway, thus reducing noise pollution.
- Aircraft may be operated in the area in front of the hangars.
- Only aircraft the commander of which has obtained prior permission from the operator may use the aerodrome, except for aircraft in an emergency situation.
- Only one runway at a time may be used on the airport.
- Parachute operations at the airport may only be carried out, subject to compliance with the regulations applicable to the activity, with the prior consent of the operator in accordance with the law, in active contingency airspace over the working area of the airport, subject to the information and authorisation of the competent ATS unit.
- During the time of a parachute jump, no other flight activity shall be conducted on the working area of the aerodrome or in the airspace above it.
- Taking into account wind directions, flights may be conducted at the airport on the following runways in use:
left and right school circle for runway 28
left and right school circle for runway 10
left and right school circle for runway 35
left and right school circle for runway 17
Traffic circles and minimum altitude above populated areas shall be flown at 1,000 feet AGL.
For more information, see the Airport Rules.

38.  Noise abatement procedures

The specified “engine start” and “engine test” procedures shall be performed by the pilot as described below:
- the engine start may be performed at the discretion of the pilot, subject to safety requirements.
General rules:
- no person shall be in front of the aircraft during engine start-up.
- the pilot must not be in the area behind the propeller - at the wingtip - when the engine is in the lateral position.
- if the type operating manual requires the use of a fire extinguisher for start-up, a qualified helper - mechanic or pilot - must be used.
- only qualified personnel should approach the powered-lift aircraft.
- if the aircraft is equipped with ‘position lights’, they must be operated before take-off.
- the ‘engine test’ may be performed by the aircraft in the take-off position of the leading runway.
- no entry is permitted for arriving and departing powered aircraft above a populated area below 1000' AGL;
- deviation from the defined school circle (traffic circle) is not permitted!
Taking into account the wind directions, flights can be operated at the airport on the following runways:
- left and right school circle for runway 28
- left and right school circle for runway 10
- left and right school circle for runway 35
- left and right school circle for runway 17
Traffic circuits and minimum altitude above populated areas are flown at 1,000 feet AGL.
In order to reduce the noise impact on the airspace of Kiskunfélegyháza Airport, the following local regulations apply:
- aircraft engine checks requiring power settings above the base throttle shall be conducted only in the runway take-off position;
- the altitude of the traffic circle is 300 m (1000') AGL. Deviations from the prescribed traffic circle are permitted only for reasons of flight safety;
- no flights below 300 m (1000') AGL above the populated area for arriving and departing powered aircraft;
For more information, see the Airport Rules.
