Flying activities that can be carried out at the airport
Various types of flying activities (paragliding (towed and winched), SES, UL, glider, motorised, hot air balloon, parachute, balloon, paraglider, model aircraft, etc.) can be carried out at the airport, both separately and in combination, in accordance with local regulations.
Mixed rules and regulations for the airport
When performing any aviation activity, the following regulations shall be observed at Hódmezővásárhely Airport, in addition to the Hungarian and EU legislation, professional rules and international treaties applicable to aviation:
Local rules for the implementation of individual operations and the cooperation of different aviation operators:
The airport may be used and aviation operations may be organized on the basis of the prior permission of the owner or operator, except for aircraft in an emergency situation.
There is no air traffic service at the airport, therefore, the approach to the airport, landings and take-offs at it can be carried out in compliance with the relevant aviation regulations.
Only one take-off site may be set up at the airport at a time.
Parachuting operations at the airport may be carried out in compliance with the regulations applicable to the activity, exclusively in the active incidental airspace requested in advance, in accordance with the legislation, with the consent of the owner or operator, above the airport working area, based on the information and permission of the competent ATS unit.
No other flight activities may be carried out in the airport working area and the airspace above it during the parachute jump.
Aerobatic flights at the airport may be carried out in compliance with the regulations applicable to the activity, exclusively in the active incidental airspace requested in advance, in accordance with the legislation, with the consent of the owner or operator, above the airport working area, based on the information and permission of the competent ATS unit.

38.  Noise abatement procedures

In order to protect and reduce noise in residential areas, motorized and auxiliary aircraft may use a designated school circuit that avoids residential areas. Deviations from this (e.g. in the case of cross-country flights over settlements, etc.) are only possible in compliance with the rules for flights over residential areas, as well as in the case of rescue, Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of the Interior, water management, special agricultural, and disaster management flights.
Additional noise-reducing regulations limiting airport traffic:
- the airport may not be used by jet aircraft,
- night flights may not be carried out at the airport.
The launch and engine control of motorized aircraft may be carried out by maintaining an appropriate safety distance from buildings and other obstacles, for the necessary period of time.
