37. Local aerodrome regulations
Activities that can be carried out at the airport
Various types of flying activities (hang gliders (towed and winch), SES, UL, glider, motorised, hot air balloon, parachute, balloon, paraglider, model aircraft, etc.) can be carried out at the airport, both separately and in combination.
Rules and regulations applicable to the airport
When carrying out any aviation activity, the following regulations must be observed at Börgönd Airport, in addition to the Hungarian legislation, professional rules and international treaties applicable to aviation:
Local rules for the conduct of individual operations and the cooperation of parallel operations:
Only aircraft whose commander has been authorised by the operator to use the airport may use the airport.
The operator shall endeavour to keep wild animals out, but their presence cannot be excluded.
The main rule for the installation of a glider launch site is that priority is given to operations on the designated runway.
The glider launch site may be established throughout the field of operations.
Parallel operation of grass runway and glider operations is permitted.
Launch sites shall maintain two-way direct radio contact with each other.
If there are several types of operations at the airport, the airport manager or his or her delegate will determine the equipment and separation of the take-off positions and will also coordinate the day-to-day work of the different sections.
Non-powered aircraft shall primarily fly an eastbound circuit and powered aircraft a westbound circuit, except in the case of bilateral radio communication.
Powered aircraft may use the entire field of operations.
Glider aircraft may use the entire field of operations for landing.
No powered aircraft shall be allowed to fly over Belsőábránd and Börgöndpuszta below 1500 FT (450 m) AGL, and LHB24 (Lake Velence, Dinnyés) north-east of the airport is an environmentally restricted airspace with an upper limit of 1500 FT (450 m AGL).
Engine start-ups and engine tests must be carried out under the responsibility of the aircraft crew or the commander only, in such a way that the propeller winds generated and any objects picked up do not endanger or disturb any person or equipment.
Aircraft can be hooked on the grassy area in front of the hangars.
For more information, see the Airport Rules.
