GEN 0.1  PREFACE

1.   Name of the publishing authority

The AIP HUNGARY is published by authority of the National Transport Authority - Directorate for Air Transport.

2.   Applicable ICAO documents

The AIP is prepared in accordance with the Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) of Annex 15 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation (Chicago Convention) and the Aeronautical Information Services Manual (ICAO Doc 8126 - AN/872 Sixth Edition 2003). Charts contained in the AIP are produced in accordance with Annex 4 to the Chicago Convention and the Aeronautical Chart Manual (ICAO Doc 8697 - AN/889/2). Differences from ICAO Standards, Recommended Practices and Procedures are given in subsection GEN 1.7.

The AIP contains aeronautical information of a permanent nature, and is kept up to date by means of an amendment service.

Aeronautical information of direct operational significance which is of an ephemeral nature, or requires advance distribution and is appropriate to the AIP but needs immediate dissemination, is notified by means of NOTAM.

Aeronautical information of general technical interest or of a purely administrative nature and therefore in-appropriate to NOTAM or AIP will be published in Aeronautical Information Circular (AIC).
